MOTHER-SEA

Mother-sea

THIS SERIES OF MONOCHROME PHOTOS EVOKES THE JOURNEY OF A MAN TO EXTRACT HIMSELF FROM THE BLANKS LEFT IN HIS HISTORY. FROM HIS ORIGINS TO THE WAIT FOR ANSWERS : THE MOTHER-SEA.

Uncertainty. Indolent belly to deliver your secret. I hear you releasing your pebbles one by one. And all those birthmarks left on my body, the day you put me on the shore, detached from the tides.

I am unfinished maritime land. Claiming myself from two shores at once. Waiting assiduously, from the emptiness.
I step forward, cluttered with seaweed and driftwood. On the lip of the coastline, the house of my brothers. I hear our old communal clock ringing. How to belong to this world ?

I will measure with my body the extent of the welcome, until my death. I am a tightly crumpled paper, forged by the sea. It will take time to understand the meaning of its wrinkles.

All the waters of the world interconnected. In our community of similarities. Carnal, wounded, peaceful, predictable.

Moored in my inner dreamer, I approach. Mother-Sea, on your surface, do you feel the molting skin of your aging son ? It is in your home that I am going to be reborn.

There are days when the light is a complete book.
